Companies or organisations claiming to “qualify” Animal Welfare Officers/Inspectors are misleading the public. There is currently no recognised “qualification” available to anybody involved in the animal welfare sector in South Africa.
AHAWE is the only Animal Welfare organisation in South Africa actively working toward establishing a formal and recognised Animal Welfare Qualification that will be registered on the National Qualifications Framework.
AHAWE training is offered at an accredited training facility presented by an EDTP qualified Facilitator, Assessor and Moderator and AHAWE training material is based on SAQA registered unit standards.
